• Quality biodiesel begins with quality process-technology design. At HERO BX, we maintain the best technology and onsite laboratory facilities in the industry. In fact, our onsite laboratory for ASTM D6751 and EN 14214 testing guarantees the biodiesel we produce will surpass industry standards.
• Our Desmet Ballestra-designed continuous-flow technology represents the vanguard in industry processing methods. The technology, capable of both transesterification and acid esterification, means the product produced is of the highest standard.
• Our multi-feedstock plant continuously produces more than 136,000 gallons of biodiesel per day — or 45 million gallons of biodiesel annually. The approximately $54 million plant was designed to strengthen national energy security and help grow the regional economy.
• The HERO BX advantage lies in our ability to produce biodiesel using multiple feedstocks, primarily from vegetable oils and waste oils.
• Quality is our number one priority. The facility has adopted BQ-9000 standards and is a fully accredited BQ-9000 producer.
• The HERO BX plant is situated on the shores of Lake Erie. We also have in-plant railcar and tanker truck load-out capabilities. We serve customers across the globe.
